Introductory engineering courses in large universities have annual enrollments exceeding hundreds of students with online classes having even more. Mechanix is an online sketch-recognition based tutoring system that utilizes AI algorithms to allow students to hand-draw solutions while providing iterative real-time personalized feedback. To observe the efficacy of this system in enhancing students learning outcomes in statics courses, Mechanix has been implemented at 5 universities across the United States.
