Nishant Sood is an undergraduate researcher pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, with a passion for space structures. He was the undergraduate team lead at IDREEM for NASA’s 2024 BIG Idea Challenge, where the Georgia Tech team developed a proposal for a soft-robot swarm designed for lunar exploration. Currently, Nishant is focused on designing and manufacturing electrodynamic shielding systems for lunar dust mitigation.
