Alejandro Jirasko is a graduate student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is pursuing his Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, Alejandro moved to Miami, Florida, after high school. He began his academic journey by earning an Associate of Arts degree in Mechanical Engineering from Miami Dade College. He then transferred to the University of Florida, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
During his time at the University of Florida, Alejandro was an active member of the Formula SAE team, serving as an Intake and Exhaust Engineer, Ergonomics Engineer, and Business Lead. His passion for mechanical and product design engineering has driven him to seek out diverse experiences. He has gained valuable internship experience in Mechanical Design, Product Design, and Manufacturing at Tesla, Amazon Robotics, Michelin, and BMW.
In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Alejandro co-founded RaveBio, a biotech startup, where he led the mechanical design of the company’s products. His dedication to growth and innovation has been a consistent theme throughout his career, reflecting his commitment to becoming a skilled mechanical and product design engineer.
